07. Historic Narrow Gauge Photos (76 images)
These are old pictures of some historical interest. All date from before 1970. As far as possible I have credited the photographer or source of each picture but some are marked as unknown. In the latter case I will credit or remove the pictures as appropriate if the copyright holder comes forward. The pictures credited to John Law come from his excellent "Pre Grouping Railways" site (see links).
The pictures credited to D.J. Norton come from Mark Norton's superb site dedicated to his late father's photographic collection; "Photo By D.J. Norton" (see links).
Contributions of suitable pictures for this section would be appreciated.
08. The Ffestiniog Railway Deviation (72 images)
Photographs from my Father's collection showing the early days of the Ffestiniog Railway's Deviation Project. The Deviation was made necessary by the flooding of a length of the original trackbed between Dduallt and Tanygrisiau in order to create the lower reservior for Ffestiniog Power Station. The Deviation was constructed between 1965 and 1978. These pictures cover the period 1965 - 1969. Also included here are a few items of paper ephemera concerning the Deviation.

11. Narrow Gauge Permanent Way (31 images)

12. Miniature Railways (64 images)
There is no exact cut off between what is a miniature railway and what is a narrow gauge railway. However I regard a railway as being miniature if it has a gauge of 15 inches or below or if the rolling stock consists of scaled down versions of larger prototypes.

Most of the pictures here are from the last twenty years or so but there is a section featuring historic photographs and another with photos from the 1960s of the Ffestiniog Railway's Deviation Project. I frequently add new pictures do do check back from time to time.
